Manhattan West Project

A large real estate developer in NYC is working on a project to utilize what previously had been wasted space above the train tracks between where they emerged from under the Hudson River and before going under Penn Station. This project known as Manhattan West, incorporates (16) 10’ x 10’ concrete beams that free span 250’ across the train tracks and cover over what had previously been open to the sky. (8) of those beams have our spiral silencers on the intakes and exhausts of the vanaxial designed to remove the train exhaust fumes as well as smoke from any fires. If your engineering curiosity is up, you can see how they did this work while the trains continued to operate.
