MEZZANINES
Our modular steel mezzanines are custom designed to meet our customers’ specific dimensional and load bearing requirements. They differ from built-on-site units in one important way: Because of the modular design, they qualify in most locales as “equipment” and therefore can be amortized in 7 years rather than 30 years!
LIFTS
Hydraulic lifts are generally the most economical means of moving material vertically between two floors of a building or from a plant floor to the top of a mezzanine. Mechanical lifts are the preferred choice to move material vertically with multiple stops between more than two floors of a building.

Mezzanine (top view)
A Township’s need for added storage space for out-of- season street decorations was met with a custom mezzanine. It was designed to support 125-lbs./sq.ft. live load. The decking material was open bar grating that was cut to fit directly against the building wall. Fall protection was provided with handrail and kickplate that conformed to BOCA standards. A swing gate at the far end was provided to allow fork-lift access.
Mezzanine (bottom view)
A Township’s need for added storage space for out-of- season street decorations was met with a custom mezzanine. It was designed to support 125-lbs./sq.ft. live load. As can be seen here, the mezzanine was designed to mate with an existing landing.
Mezzanine for added storage space
An auto dealer needed added storage in their new shop area. This 18’ x 54’ mezzanine was installed over their service bays. The standard floor decking is painted white on the underside for better light reflectivity. The top surface was plywood for economy. Because the height of the deck exceeded 12′, a stairway with an intermediate landing, per BOCA Code, was provided.
Mechanical Lift
A snack food manufacturer required a material lift to stop at multiple levels. This mechanical lift moves up to 6000-lbs. from the Receiving Dock level to two more floors. The travel time from the bottom level up 16-ft. to the top position takes less than a minute. Electrical interlocks only allow the access door to be opened at a position once the platform arrives.
